This is a beautiful aesthetic, here on these forums. I am fond of the colour scheme chosen. Dark, simple, and dignified.

The emoticons seem to have been made for light backgrounds, however. A different set would help.

Also, whatever images should be showing above them (spelling.gif and switchmode.gif) are broken. The URLs are showing as:

forums/images/hardwired/editor/spelling.gif (http://www.straybulletgames.com/forums/images/hardwired/editor/spelling.gif)
forums/images/hardwired/editor/switchmode.gif (http://www.straybulletgames.com/forums/images/hardwired/editor/switchmode.gif)

While they apparently should be:

forums/images/editor/spelling.gif (http://www.straybulletgames.com/forums/images/editor/spelling.gif)
forums/images/editor/switchmode.gif (http://www.straybulletgames.com/forums/images/editor/switchmode.gif)

Unless the images that should be in /hardwired/ are simply missing.

As for the website itself, the pieces of art are intriguing, though worrisome to me. I am not fond of the enormous ears, or the three-hundred-pound build of the blonde figure, but I also notice that most of these images are marked as placeholders within their filenames, so I try to take them with a proverbial grain of salt while wondering why such effort would be expended on mere placeholder art.

Anyway, bravo! I look forward to seeing the Stray Bullet strike.

Edit: The Skype icon in the profile editor is also broken.

Fixed some of the small issues, I will need to make a Skype image once I find the PSD file used to create the graphics. Same with the emoticons.

I am not sure what you mean by placeholders filenames exactly.

Thanks for the heads up though!

Sorry. I mean these:

http://www.straybulletgames.com/images/placeholder01.jpg
http://www.straybulletgames.com/images/placeholder02.jpg
http://www.straybulletgames.com/images/placeholder03.jpg

By calling each a 'placeholder' I simply assume that they do not necessarily mean anything as to any projects that may be under development.

Well the one image for example is from the Contact Us page (http://www.straybulletgames.com/contactus.shtml). They are being used as art to make the site look more graphically appealing and complete. It would be odd if one or two pages were missing a image on the right side. I would regard them on the basis of fancy clip art for the moment. This is a fairly common practice in the world of web design. =)

Right, that is what I was saying that I was assuming that I should think (http://www.straybulletgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40).

What? You don't like how they tease around here? I doubt anyone really thinks that those images are actually from another game they are creating. I know I don't think it is. If it is, good stuff....but I highly doubt it.

Heh, the poster on the wall in this image (http://www.statesman.com/business/content/business/stories/technology/07/bkd_stray_bullet.html) leads me to believe that the placeholder on this page (http://www.straybulletgames.com/inthenews/) is more than just "clip art"...

:D

Close examination reveals the two images are different, but remarkably similar. Googling Khotan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khotan) reveals it to be "An important station on the southern route of the historic Silk Road." If you want me to stop stalking now, lemme know. =p
