Free refining

Now that the patch has gone live, could we please have some way of refining for free? I need to change so many things on many of my characters as the patch made some drastic changes (such as my druid and rogue barb (refining LA, and trainng MA))

cool this weekend coming up would probably be a good time to do it, giving only one day for free refining would probably cause alot of people to miss out, but i'll take anything

i support the idea of having a free refining day or weekend or week. tie it in w/ a irl holiday and celebrate with veteran rewards. i mean something like the sombrero hats wizard hats princess hats grobold rings. we need more of those things, they were fun and we like to collect them. please bring them back.

I don't see why refining isn't static cost in the first place. How would it be a bad thing?

You'll have people switching their entire templates overnight to whatever they think is the new hotness or whatever is needed at the moment.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind. Heaven knows I could use some refining in some of my characters. If anything it might promote people sticking with a crappier build longer because of all that time they've been leveling.

How does that factor into the fact you could simply reroll a new toon in a day or two and have both templates.

yeah what's the point of the refining prices raising every point? don't you want to discourage people from rerolling, just make refining cost like 1k a point and the price never changes

COMPLETELY agree with this. The reason people have hard times finding PvP is because half of the server is rerolling all the time.

I wouldn't mind a refinment holiday, i think i even suggested it like a couple of weeks ago..

Yeah, I have an elf prelate from the early days of war server who is nearly as old as the release version of this game. I think he was my second character ever. I'd love to have him viable again, but I have more then 100 trains to refine off him.

On that note, I have a Centaur prelate a friend gave me from pretty much the very, very old days (it's so old his name is Gladiator, so this is back then when this name wasn't taken -- which is forever ago). I want to mess with it -- the rune selection is terrible but I think I can screw with it enough that it doesn't suck, even though I've already missed out on the creation runes that he should've probably taken.
