How similar will the new MMO be with Shadowbane? I know you guys don't have much planned yet, but do you have any ideas or perhaps some daydreams of an idea of how you want things to flow?

You guys are ruthless. STG doesn't owe you any information, they probably just wanted to release the announcement to get the word out and excite people. When someone announces something it doesn't mean they are going to pour their information to fans before they even are sure themselves of what it is.

waiting is fine, but according to all the posts that mention a time frame they say that no more news will be comming for a rather long time... i dont know about you but waiting an indeterminate amount of time gets rather boring... and bored people dont want to wait around for a game or even information they have no idea when they are going to get. what im saying is, atleast give us an estimate about when you MIGHT be able to get information, cause theres no point in anyone of us sticking around just talking, we can do that in a game having fun...

i kinda like the idea that all of these ideas being posted are helping them come up with some good stuff to put into their game.

Im just happy knowing they are doing a game, and ill follow it as much as i can. :)

If you already know what you are going to do and how you want it to play why the hell are you asking our opinion about anything just make your game they way you want and we will/ or will not (if it sucks) play your game

People it's purely business, they put out what they did to keep people interest but to give any detailed information just allows their competitors to steal, "borrow" or build off of what they are doing.

If you think this doesn't happen, climb out of the hole you've been in your whole life and either get a job in a competitive industry or better yet publish your own commercially viable idea's without a copyright/patent and see how much money you make on them.

I think you are very much misunderstanding what I have said. I think you will find that, your statement has no history, as many times I do exactly what you state I do not.

I ask players consistently their opinions, simply put, because they do matter.What I am doing is ensuring that no thread goes down any one angle as a fact of what has been assumed previous. Player sp[eculation is fun for us and I would hope the players as well.

Bingo! One or another of us reads every thread. Some ideas are inspired, some are not. Some bring up a point we hadn't considered or suggest an approach that gets our creative gears turning.

If you're involved in design you have to be prepaired for the majority of your ideas to be shot down, tweaked, or morphed into something entirely different. That's just part of the creative process, regardless of where it is being applied.

BTW can we have gore in this new title? I'm big fan of UO's dismemberment and Fallout-style gory deaths. Just falling down is IMO lame, I WANT TO SEE GUTS FLYING EVERYWHERE. How much difference E vs 14+ rating would make?

Rating have a severa impact these days due to other games really stretching it.

That, and there are regions in the world, where a gamne with blood is not allowed to be sold at all.
